Module 10 Task

Future plans and arrangements
After we've studied Module 10 LF1 and 2, think of a couple of things you’re going to do in the next few weeks or months and tell us about them here. Include one or two pictures or URLs if you want to. I've written about my own plans below, which might help you.
Remember:
·         Don’t use ‘will’ to talk about your plans. You can use it if you don’t have a plan yet (e.g. “I’ll probably stay at home this weekend”)
·         Use ‘going to’ if you have a general plan. This means you don’t know the details and haven’t communicated it to people yet.
·         Use the present continuous tense for arrangements. This means you have booked a ticket and/or communicated you plan to someone and/or put it in your diary.
·         Use the present simple to say what time scheduled events happen. (e.g. “The show is on December 12th and starts at 7.30pm.”)

David’s plans
In two weeks I’m taking my ten year-old son to see The Nutcracker, by the Royal New Zealand Ballet (RNZB). He saw a TV series about the RNZB and then kept asking me to take him to a ballet. He loves performing in school plays, and every week he does a circus workshop, where he learns various circus skills, like trapeze but this will be the first time he’s been to a real live show.

Next April I’m taking him to England to catch up with my family there. My mum and brother live in Birmingham but we’re spending a few days in Porthmaddog, in west Wales. We’re staying at a place called the Custom House, which is right opposite a steam railway (my brother loves trains…)

On the way back from England, we’re taking the Eurostar from London to Paris, France, which will be a big treat for both of us. It’s a very modern train which goes through a tunnel under the sea between England and France.

In Paris we’re staying at this hotel, where I’ve made a booking for 4 nights:
I think Paris is the most beautiful city in the world and I’m looking forward to showing it to my favourite person in the world. It will be great, - there are so many museums and art galleries to go to, and of course, The Eiffel Tower.
After that, we probably won’t be going anywhere for a while because we’ll have spent so much money…
